Safety Developments ARCAN's first concern is jobsite safety

ARCAN's first concern is job site safety. Our safety team and our project superintendents are responsible for ensuring that our employees and subcontractors meet all safety standards. We hold daily tailgate safety meetings and provide our employees with regular training and the tools to do the job properly. We regularly inspect our job sites, provide safety orientations to employees working on them, and have strict vehicle maintenance procedures.

At the beginning of a job, the Safety Manager will brief the site managers, supervisors, and workers on specific risks of a job site. They help mitigate and manage those risks, and when an incident does occur, the Safety Manager is the first person to be notified.

Some of the typical training we offer our employees are the following certifications:

• Lift training on aerial boom lifts, scissor lift platforms and forklifts
• Fall protection and fall protection fundamentals
• Standard First Aid and Defibrillator (AED) training
• Further safety training through Leadership for Safety Excellence, the Principles of Health Safety, WSCC supervisor training, and auditor training.
